HENRI SALVADOR

HENRI SALVADOR
MONSIEUR HENRI (1994)
320 KBPS

1994 release from French singer Henri Salvador. Unlike most of Salvador's release, this one has little jazz to display most of the tracks are upbeat rythm'n'blues fun. I know many people thought this album was an awful mess and a waste of Mr. Salvador's smooth vocal-style. Let's be clear, I disagree. Though I won't rate this album as one of Henri's best, it's an entertaining display of his humorous talent. Actually, the only thing here I can't stomach is the rather boring cover of Derek and the Dominos' Layla. In my humble opinion, this version wasn't necessary and is quite embarrassing. Other than that, like I said, it's a fun an upbeat album which make you want to shake your booty.
