TWO

TWO
VOYEURS (1998)
320 KBPS

Here's something I found strange. We have Rob Halford, the famous frontman of Judas Priest in a band called Two. He's signed to Trent Reznor's record label "Nothing." His guitar player is John Lowery who once played with David Lee Roth (on the album "DLR Band") and then Marilyn Manson (as John5). Oh and his voice is almost unrecognizable. That's a complaint I see frequently in the reviews for this album and I want to say...Halford has always been pretty good at changing what his voice sounds like. Listen to the songs "Hellbent for Leather," "Breaking the Law," and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" and listen to how different his voice sounds in each song. Well, anyways...This album, to me, sounded like Nine Inch Nails material (without the main topic of "sex") as far as music, and occasionally lyrically it did too. That combined with Lowery's ace guitar playing and Halford's sometimes creepy vocals make this album a little different than other material you've previously heard but just as good. Don't hesitate to listen to this album or even buy it for that matter.
