Thanks for this great collection of 'Jewish Soul Music'. The resurgence of Klezmer is keeping alive the souls of Eastern European Jews who left their homes because of severe religious persecution, and those who perished in the Holocaust. Its rising popularity in places like Eastern Europe is a testament to freedom and the human spirit. The worst places were atrocities of the Holocaust were committed were located in Eastern Europe. The world should never forget!

Awesome blog guys..

I have a question: what do you guys use to rip music? i use dbpoweramp with LAME but v2 on that has an average bitrate of 190kbps.. how do you get v2 with such a high 315 avg?

Its great for sound quality and saving some space. I must know your secrets :)

Good Klezmer is fine as it is actually, without "Tzadik component(s)" :)

I would, confidently, guess - most "good klezmer lovers" actually DO prefer their klezmer without "Tzadik component" (which is often for some people anyhow, - "weird Zorn's style jazz" :-)

Personally - I like Tzadik stuff
BUT .. I love good klezmer without that "Tzadik component" as well :)
Maybe being jewish is part of it... ;-)

So in fact you are stealing music and posting it online without paying the artists or even letting them know that you are doing it?

I'm not stealing anything. All that is published here I own because I bought it. Now, I want more people to buy it and, hence, propose them to sample it before acquiring the actual cd.
