Rev Hammer, the unassuming long time collaborator with the Levellers and New Model Army is captured for the first time on CD with the Levs. The songs, 3 minute works of genius, many of them played live if you're ever lucky enough to attend a Drunk In Public gig. From foot stomper, River O, to rock and roll, Punch Drunk, the only fault I can find with this CD is the running length, at just over 30 mins. I only wish that I had caught these songs sung in situ in the subways of the cities when Rev was busking his way around Britain. I may never have got to my destination....
