A glorious newcomer of new French chanson with his first album (La soupe à la grimace, 1997), Bertrand Betsch has not yet became what his talent deserve: big! His melancholic lyrics on a happy musical background create a sound like too few have mastered in France. "Pas de bras, pas de chocolat" (no arms, no chocolate) is his third of four albums to this day and probably my favourite with his debut. Those interested in Etienne Daho or Dominique A will find this absolutely delightful.
