Jaco Pastorius has a reputation as one of the all time great jazz bass players, most notable of which is his stint with Weather Report. Sadly, in 1987 he passed away at the young age of 35. He did leave behind some great jazz music, of which this live album is a fine example. Recorded in Japan in 1982, Invitation features jazz luminaries Toots Thielemans, Randy Brecker, Don Alias & Peter Eriskine .
