A three piece, Cornu's first surprise is its line-up : Julie B. Bonnie (fiddle, vocals), Alex Bonnie (bass guitars) & Ben Bernardi (drums). The music is quite energetic mixing an almost-punk energy to a typical female sung french pop with an indie twist. If the combinaison of all these elements sometimes showed some flaws the overall quality of the album is not to be discussed. Cornu tried to offer a fresh sound and most of the time succeeded to renew a path too many walked before. It sure is an acquired taste but those looking for a harsher Stereolab will be pleased as well as those wanting something that doesn't sound like your typical french pop act.
