JOSEPH RACAILLE

JOSEPH RACAILLE
S/T (1999)
320KBPS

Better known as an arranger or a producer in the french chanson such as Thomas Fersen, Alain Bashung, Dick Annegarn, Arthur H, Vinent Delerm, etc..., or for he has written the music of the "Triton" show from Philippe Découflé, Joseph Racaille has a past, a present and certainly a future... After taking part in the situationist collective Barricades he conceived some very strange Satie-inspired pataphysic chamber music with ZNR (which also include Hector Zazou & Louse Alcazar) before publishin on Chris Culter's Opposition label "Recommended" with ex-ZNR Patrick Portella. In the 80's, the same Racaille has founded a proto-cuban band named Paris Combo (not to be mistaken with the french lounge act of the same name). He now plays with the Ukulele Club de paris displaying an exotic kind of chanson a tad too strange to win over the big medias. In 1999, he released his first solo album on the Tôt Ou Tard label, full of strings, winds, percussion, served by precious and precise arrangements and with an enjoyable sense of humour it is here for you to enjoy!
