Now THIS is a masterpiece. What an AMAZING piece of music! This guy really had guts with experimenting in such a colourful way. This music and these sounds are touching your soul like you never experienced before. It leads from the beautiful melodic 'Sea Song' (one of the most melancholic tunes I ever heard) to the jazzy track 'A Last Straw' (reminds of Soft Machine's 'Slightly All The Time') highlight 'Little Red Riding Hood Hit The Road' (the halfway passage contains some goosebump-giving minor piano-chords) and the outstanding experimental adventure that habits Side B of the LP: 'Alifib' (hugh hopper's bass-sounds are writing a fairytale on this one) 'Alife' (impossible to describe this track, it's pure experimenting-mayhem, outstanding!) and the finale 'Little Red Robin Hood Hit The Road' (strong intro, I keep saying this is some kind of magic; it ends with an interesting baritone concertina accompanied by funny vocals). I'm very excited and everyone has to hear this album, it's one of the greatest musical adventures ever created. Extremely highly recommended!

This is a great album. The 'baritone concertina' and odd vocals are in fact the late lamented Ivor Cutler and his pedal harmonium.

One of the greatest albums ever. It was recorded 6 months after Wyatt fell from a 4th floor window breaking his back and confining him to a wheelchair.
