RUSH
PERMANENT WAVES (1980)
REMASTERED EDITION
320 KBPS
Sort of a warm-up for "Moving Pictures," or morely aptly put a transition from "Hemispheres" to "M.P." Some people consider that chronolgical seating detracts from this album, but that's just not true! Some of the greatest hard rock guitar work ever produced, Peart's playing and precision really becomes lethal at this point, and Geddy's bass work is flashy but unobtrusive; in other words, he takes the lead at just the right point in the song (i.e. the break right before Lifeson's god-like solo in "Freewill"). This album is just purely amazing.
