From beginning to ending, this album is great. For starters, "Birdsong" starts subtly with the sound of birds, but soon attacks you with beautiful base/guitar riffs that interplay with some of the greatest rock arranging that I have heard in a long while. Next, "Rape This Day" is awesome and full of wild energy. "You Can't Win" is a hilarious song, and, although I am not certain what it is really about (or if it was intended to be hilarious or not), it is easily my favorite track here. "Mayday", and "Rotgut" are both excellent songs. "Capt Midnight" is a hauntingly beautiful, spacey song with about 30 seconds of extreme adrenaline...a great song. "Desastre Natural" features Spanish vocals that I do not understand, but the song sounds great and is performed exceptionally. "When The Stars Begin To Fall" is one of those songs that can prove if a band really has it or not, it would take a hell of a band to play this (and this is a hell of a band). "Harelip" is another great cut that displays a wide variety of styles rolled into one song (not to mention very bizarre lyrics) and is another great song. "Harlem Clowns" is also very good, if you like long limbo-like pieces of music with lots of samples, but it is not a song. The closing number, "Aktion F1413" is simply genius, although not how one expects the album to end (unless you have listened to enough of the music that Patton has been involved with...if you have, then you probably never expect anything except surprises on the first listen). If you are open minded to creativity in music, and appreciate high quality music, try this album.
