COME TO DADDY (1997)

Richard D James can be seen to be a musical genius in the way that he approaches modern music. It is so unconvential, crazy and good that you walk away from this album experiencing a multitude of different sounds and genres.
From the intense, aggressive, pounding drum and bass of the opening "Come To Daddy [Pappy Mix]", where he proclaims "I want your soul..." to the glidey, simple ambient sounds of "Flim" and the final track "IZ-US", with its smoothness; a perfect ending track to this colosal musical journey. In between, there is the terrifically unique, "Bacephalus Bouncing Ball", where RDJ uses samples of the sounds made by different sized balls bouncing. "Funny Little Man" is a funny little song with crazy voice overs and a groovy tune, while "Come To Daddy [Mummy Mix]" lets loose with wild mixing and varying sound.
"Come To Daddy" is an expression of the brilliant powers that RDJ has at his fingertips and in his head. It is an album that has hard hitting Drum and Bass, smooth and chilled ambience, distorted voices and outstanding production. This album isn't for everyone, but if you are looking for a sound not nearly classified as the norm from a truly talented, if warped, man, then check out this unique piece of work. A recommended start for the uninitiated and a must for those already familiar...

WINDOWLICKER (1999)
320 KBPS

Alien lounge porno music? Admittedly that is my impressions of what this actually is. By all means bizarre ( but not half as weird as that video ). It's enjoyably fun and something you'll probably have a dirty thought too! The second track is a little bit of a noise-fest ( by the way what's the mathematical equation all about ) and the third track Nannou is a lullaby to make you feel sleepy. Having said that the last two tracks just seem like throwaways from the Come To Daddy EP but I suppose we can level at that.

2. DeltaMi-1=aSigman=1Di(n)(SigmajEC(i)Fij(n-1)+Fexti(n-1))
