Here is one of the veterans of the 2nd wave of French punk rock : Parabellum. Formed in 1983, they released their debut EP in 1985, disbanded in 1993 to reform in 2002. This album, the final one of their first era, is their more refined though it's still typical punk rock (except on the more jazzy/laid back Le Dernier Trocson) we're talking about. Heading from Paris, Parabellum have that particular street sound no band from the country could ever achieve. The production on this self titled could have been better but it doesn't ruin the fun of listening to melodic punk rock with nice lyrics and a good (if not really skilled) musicianship. As the band has its own identity, I would not compare them to any brit or American band. Typically french, their punk is fresh and delightful.
