SENSER

SENSER
STACKED UP (1994)
320 KBPS

Senser's Stacked Up is one of the very few crossover metal albums to have originated from United Kingdom back when this style was still hype and fresh. The originality of the band resided in the elements thrown in the mix, where most American bands put a little rap and a lot of funk in their stew, Senser, perfectly representing UK, put a little rap and a lot of electronica (trance techno to be more precise). The band was fronted by both a gracious female singer and an angry rapper which made them not only a great studio team but also a powerful and attractive live band! The rapper, Heitham Al-Sayed, left the band after this first album only to return in 1999. The band is still active but I'll have to admit I haven't heard any of the stuff that followed their second and quite disappointing album... Also, I don't play this debut album very often anymore but, every time it finds its way to my cd player, I'm amazed at how great it still is!
