Years before they began recording and releasing their every live utterance, Pearl Jam's first live album came in the form of three import EPs. The original discs were released separately - the first coming in a handsome fold out cardboard case that would hold all three discs, if you bought the next two. Now that's marketing. It worked because this live show, recorded at Atlanta's Fox Theatre on April 3rd, 1994, was a living testament to Pearl Jam's fully developed stage prowess and the blockbuster material on their first two albums, Ten and Vs. The first track on Disc 1 is the studio version of "Dissident," the next 22 tracks comprise the whole of the Atlanta show, as mixed by Brendan O'Brien. A very nice live album.

I stumbled upon your blog...great post about the Dissident single/Atlanta Fox Theatre concert CD set. Possibly one of Pearl Jam's finest performances ever. I love it!
FYI - The entire show was not included in the 3 CD set. Songs like 'Last Exit', 'Satan's Bed', and 'Betterman' from the upcoming and yet unreleased Vitalogy were not included (I'm told for copyright reasons and because of Sony) as well as covers like 'Sonic Reducer'.
If you like what you've heard on that CD set, I highly suggest you search out and find the entire, completely recorded show. It's well worth it!
