Emir Kusturica is mostly know for his weird (and beautiful) movies. But he also plays guitar in his very own band! Dr. Nele sings, you may not know, but this man was the leader of one of the leading bands from Yugoslavia, Zabranjeno Pusenje, kind of a punk yet sophisticated act I was told. As for Emir and No Smoking Orchestra they make great music... You'll hear a lot of great musicians working togheter kind of like Louis Armstrong and his All-Stars in the 50's but in a very different style. If you want rock, if you want jazz, if you want gipsy music, listen to this band and album! This music has everything. It can't be described by style. It is dynamic, it makes you smile, it makes you stand up and dance! Kusturica's gypsy roots sure lead the way but there's more to it. If you love music with energy, treat yourself to something new.
