MIOSSEC
A PRENDRE (1998)
320 KBPS
Christophe Miossec is another precursor of the French chanson. His style is, though, very different from Thomas Fersen's. When Fersen sings poetry, Miossec sings everyday's life and does it great. On this album, his third, his art is at its peak thanks to richer arrangements than on his two first albums that were essentially acoustic guitar driven opuses... "A Prendre" has more elements in its sound (violin, piano, etc..) to make it an enjoyable listening experience. Vocally, Mr. Miossec could be defined as a Serge Gainsbourg influenced singer but, seeing as my Gainsbourg posts seems to have pleased many, that shouldn't be a problem. Try it and tell me what you thought of it, I personally very much enjoy this album!
