Comprising Thomas de Pourquery (alto & soprano saxophone, vocals, compositions), Sylvain Rifflet (tenor & soprano saxophone, piccolo flute, vocals, compositions), Gaël Chausson (drums, percussion), Nicolas Larmignat (percussion), Stéphan Larmignat (percussion) and Fabrice Theuillon (baritone & soprano saxophone) Rigolus was formed to create a delirious marching band to showcase its member’s influences. The result is a stunning mix of Rock'n'Roll, classical music, world music, dance music... and, of course!, jazz. This surprising formation does not only create music but adds, on stage that is, well thought and funny dances for the smiling enjoyment of the crowds! Seeing Rigolus on stage is, then, more than a simple concert, a real fun experience! Often welcoming illustrious guest (actor/singer Lambert Wilson, Gonzales or Philippe Katerine, etc...) they also perform live accompanied by a troupe of singers and more when the occasion presents itself creating a festive experience at each of their show. As well received by un-jazz audiences than by the critics, Rigolus is an act not to be missed and an album you have to hear!
