More oriental influences mark Tanger's second album. The band doesn't betray their terrific real debut's artistic success and even manages to have a hit (Oui Peut-Être) without ever compromising its art. Le Détroit is Tanger's best sold album but not an easy one as the jazz, world music still mix with the poetic/rock parti-pris. The band sometimes flirts with free jazz (Tanjah) or reconstructs a Leonard Cohen's classic (The New "So Long, Marianne") always with à-propos and talent.
