GRANDADDY

GRANDADDY
THE SOPHWARE SLUMP (2000)
320 KBPS

After a final album in 2006 (Just Like the Fambly Cat ), Grandaddy sadly disbanded leaving us with 4 high quality full length releases and a bunch of very tasty EPs. Of their whole discography, The Sophtware Slump remains my favorite. Some thought it was a concept album about problems concerning modern technology in society. Some said it was the American Ok Computer. It generally was a critically acclaimed album. All praises where justified but with their unique sound - mixing country rock, pop and 70's electronica, Grandaddy's The Sophtware Slump doesn't need such comparisons to be one of the greatest pop achievements of this new millennium. The first track alone (He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot) with its amazing ambience makes this album worth a try, and since the rest of it is godly too, YOU ARE FORBIDDEN NOT TO GET IT!
