Ariane Moffatt comes from Quebec and that's the only thing in common she has with Céline Dion, thank god. Her first effort, Aquanaute, is a sweet and tender folk/pop outfit with a few electronic leanings to spice it up a bit. An accomplished musician, she did most of the studio work herself which is pretty amazing considering the overall quality of Aquanaute. Through the 14 songs of this nice little album, she pours her feelings, hopes and doubts in an engaging manner. The 14th track is a duet with French singer -M-. If you're looking for something to dream to, look no further, Aquanaute's will make your day...and many more.

La Fracture Du Crâne was really an awesome song. I was always a little disappointed that it was alone in its genre. But Arianne has a consistently good output, that's the least we can say. What was the name of the original band she started with, do you remember?
I know she played with Marc Déry and Daniel Bellanger but have no recollection of a band she particpated in. If you remember it and have any recording of the band I would very much appreciate that you share it with me.
