Her first CD, Aquanaute, was more of a pure (mellow) singer-songwriter effort. While I would not say that the production was sans décor (it has been described as "a skillful blend of electro-folk, jazz and pop"), on Le Coeur we find her more experimental side blossoming, and with a heavier sound as well. "R&G", she calls it - "rhythm & grungetterie" ... (that's "rhythm and grunge" for us anglophones). The songwriting is also stronger (I detect a Beatles/Lennon influence in a lot of the songs) and the experimental stuff becomes an integral part of the arrangements. We really get a sense of where she is heading, and this CD (her second) is a fine prelude for what will come next, Tous les sens.
