Released in 1977, "Jamais Content" can be considered as Alain Souchon's first classic album. While the first two had good songs and showed lots of promises, this is when Alain really established himself as one of the driving forces of a new French chanson. Whatsmore, the three hit singles on this album ("Jamais Content", "Y'a d'la Rumba dans l'Air" and "Allo Maman Bobo") are still part of his classics and make a good portrait of his fragile, poppy style. And, since the rest of the album is pretty good too, what you're having here is a real winner French chanson lovers will certainly not want to miss.
