HELENA

HELENA
FRAISE VANILLE (2007)
320 KBPS

After three very different but equally successful albums, Helena released her 4th album which is a tribute to songwriter Serge Rezvani. A multi-talented artist (also a writer, actor and painter), Rezvani is better know for the songs he wrote for the movies "Jules et Jim" (François Truffaut, 1962) & "Pierrot le Fou" (Jean-Luc Godard, 1965).
Helena, a big fan of the songwriter, has decided to pay tribute to her childhood memories by covering some of Revzani's best bits. A proud pop singer, Helena gives the songs her personality which results in a sweet pop sound where her voice fits the bill perfectly.
Not an ambitious album by any means, "Fraise Vanille" is a sweet little album that can be a perfect companion to a sunny sunday afternoon seeping lemonade. A joy for the ears (while Helena is also a joy for the eyes) which you don't want to miss.

Thanks for this one. I have Azul (such a beautiful album!), it was one of those lucky strikes, but I never knew anything about her. Anyhow she seems to have all the right connections.
