"Rame" is Alain Souchon's fifth album and the last one produced by his friend and co-composer Laurent Voulzy. This is pretty much typical Souchon, a record by a fragile human being struggling to become an adult yet not really willing to. Many don't consider this album weaker than those preceeding and following it, I disagree. It's just not as catchy but it's definitely a grower on which Souchon's shines as he usually does. There are no big hits on this one but all the songs are good and display Souchon's usual mix of French chanson and pop. In my humble opinion, the only downpoint of this album is its length, it's awfully short (a little under 33 minutes) yet, that might be a good thing as it leaves you eager for more. Try it.
