PBF should have been big. Actually, PBF should have been Poison in place of Poison, they were better musicians, they made better songs, they has an even more glamish look and, on this debut, album, they rocked! Unfortunately, PBF came too late. By 1989, the audience was growing tired of Hair Metal and most of the big names of the scene (Ratt, Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Dokken, etc.) were already disbanding or disappearing from the mainstream media. This left PBF with the most faithful, devoted fans of the genre... That wasn't much. They had more success in Europe than in their homeland which, considering how American they sounded, is quite surprising. Finally, the lack of success plus a judiciary dispute with the Canadian Pretty Boy Floyd made them call it quits in 1991. The band later reformed, in 1995, and are still active to the delight of Hair Metal and Sleaze Rock fanatics. I can't say if their later albums are good, I haven't heard any but this one was and if it isn't anything new, those looking for apt and entertaining American hard rock, will certainly want to try it.
