Here's something you won't find anywhere else on the blogosphere. For starters, this is an autoproduction and the only reason I came across this bad boy is because I used to work with the harmonica player on it. Then, this was never released on any record company but only sold to the band's friends and at their concerts.
What we're having here is a mix of French chanson, blues and rock and an entertaining one at that. The two guitar players (who also share the singing duties) do a fine job as do the rhythm section but it's Octave Gimmick 1er, the harmonica player, who really make this band as enjoyable as it is. Amazingly, for a non-professional musician, Octave can compete with any other harmonica player in the international music scene and shines through the whole of "Preum's". With humorous lyrics and apt songwriting Offre Spéciale gives us a good little album those who like blues will certainly want to try.
