Following Trouble-Fête (see earlier this week), Arthur H released Pour Madame X which pretty much explores the same universe than its predecessor. Is Arthur H repeating himself for the very first time of his career? Well, yes and no... Yes, because, let's face it, Pour Madame X doesn't bring much new elements to his music. No, because he pushes even further his jazz'n'groove'n'chanson formula so to reach his creative peak. After this album, he will slightly change his sound to something a tad less experimental and a tad more song-centered. In a way, Pour Madame X is the culminating point of his jazz/chanson explorations before trying something else. A great album that even those who don't understand French will enjoy.
