Seldom French rock has sounded so right and powerful than it of the Roadrunners. Coming from Normandy and formed in the 80s around singer/guitarist Frandol (a childhood friend of Noir Désir's singer Bertrand Cantat), the Roadrunners played a nervous blend of 60s and 70s rock bearing the influence of bands such as the Kinks, Humble Pie or the Small Faces. Throughout their career, the band produced 6 albums (released between 1987 and 1995) of which Instant Trouble is the finest. Short, focused and melodicly powerful, Instant Trouble is a winner through and through. It even has a Beatles cover (Hey Bulldog) which easily competes with the original.

Excellent choix même, tout ce à quoi Frandol a participé est de toute façon exellent! Ce gars est un grand songwriter à mon avis! Et sa voix est superbe! Les roadrunners avaient sorti un album dont je ne me rappelle plus le titre, avec un oiseau, un beep beep, sur la pochette. Si jamais Moodswings à ça en stock, cet album étaiot très bon...
Hélas, je n'ai pas ça en stock. Mais si, par chance, tu tombes dessus, je suis preneur !
Hello moodswings l'album reclamé par geololo est A frog in my throat uniquement sortie en 33t et je confirme cet album etait tres tres bon. Bonne continuation et felicitation pour ton site et tes choix musicaux
