If you're new to Fiona Apple, I'd recommend Tidal first. It has more radio friendly singles, so to speak, but When the Pawn does not disappoint. In fact it seems more of a complete album than her previous work. This one I can listen to without skipping one song. Not many artists can accomplish such a full album these days. Anyone going through heartbreak, self-doubt, self-loathing, can pop this cd in and feel like an empathic friend is there with you. The songs are amazing, less corporate, if you will, than the previous album, but truely amazing. Highlights would be Paper Bag, Fast as you Can, Limp, and A Mistake, 4 songs that run seemlessly together. You can't ask for much better than this one.
1. On The Bound
2. To Your Love
3. Limp
4. Love Ridden
5. Paper Bag
6. A Mistake
7. Fast As You Can
8. The Way Things Are
9. Get Gone
10. I Know
2. To Your Love
3. Limp
4. Love Ridden
5. Paper Bag
6. A Mistake
7. Fast As You Can
8. The Way Things Are
9. Get Gone
10. I Know

tres bon album, mais une preference pour l' album avec des haricots/petits pois sur la pochette, le suivant (desole pour le titre, mais suis au taf et j' emmene pas mes CD) malgre tout
altos
Extraordinary Machine donc. Qui est excellent, il est vrai. Mais, en ce qui me concerne, "When the Pawn..." demeure indétrônable. ;)
