Saravah is the oldest french independant label founded by Pierre Barouh thanks to the success of his soundtrack to 1966's Claude Lelouch movie "Un Homme et une Femme".
Higelin, Fontaine and Areski were the leaders of the label in the late 60s and 70s producing some of the nicest avant-garde chanson of this time. The following posts include works by those three artists that often worked together creating a welcomed spiritual family in a time when French Chanson was mostly mainstream or copycats of anglo-saxon artists. Enjoy today's series and leave me some comments.

Ha non, désolé, je n'ai pas ça en magasin...
been away for awhile due to a computer crash. i have to say, moodswings is one of the things i missed most. the music you've exposed me to, especially chanson, has been such a gift. i've emptied my wallet now on my new obsession. thanks much for your hard work on this blog, and for sharing your impeccable taste.
