It is 2009 and Lynyrd Skynyrd is putting out another record, which I suppose proves that much like the Confederate flag, no matter how outmoded and obsolete, Southern rock just won't go away. In order to drive that point home harder, the band has named its 12th studio album God & Guns, as if to say, "This album's only intended for real Americans." Song titles include, "Skynyrd Nation," "Southern Ways," and "That Ain't My America." Carry this baby north of the Mason-Dixon line and it just might explode.
Still, those interested in a little redneck action can indulge themselves with this "new" album which, strangely enough, has been produced by Bob Marlette (Two, Alice Cooper, John 5, etc.).
My advice is to download this and buy any Neil Young album instead.
