GENESIS

GENESIS
1970-1975 (2007)
REMASTER
320 KBPS

The third & final studio box set returns to the beginning, covering the band's more adventurous, experimental & ground-breaking years with lead singer Peter Gabriel. Each original album has been remastered and, maybe because the original recordings weren't up to today's standards, it's the more spectacular of the studio box sets.

Hi, Mr Moodswings.
Definitely their best work. I still play the original vinyls on a regular basis.
My absolute favourite is 'The Cinema Show'. A piece of classical music imho.
Once again congratulations for a most excellent blog !

More than essential or groundbreaking... something like an unrepeatable balance... rock, literature, Bartok, theatre, social issues, all mixed up in 5 masterworks... listen to Get'em out by Friday to witness how up to date this still is. And what could be more intriguing than Hackett rolling out through Firth of Fifth in his majestic solo... I definitely needed a better recording and can find one here. Even if I too still do play them vinyls over and over... thx a lot!

Merci for sharing this new sounding collection on G. It's a peace of rock history.

Rock on!

best, Enrique.
